on-campus, at events or on-site

We want to meet you!

While the internet and other social networking media has made it much more fashionable to meet in cyberspace, we still want a chance to meet you in person and hopefully get to know you!

In fact, one of our core values, “People are our greatest asset,” is an important reason why this is true.

Where can we meet?

  • On your campus or nearby campus – Check with your Career Services office, deans, or professors to see if we will be visiting your school. If not your school, then we may be visiting a neighboring school. Also see the information below about “Top Tier” and other opportunities. We go to school career fairs, conduct information sessions, speak in classrooms, and work with student groups like SEDS, ASME, IEEE, SWE, NSBE, SHPE, and others where you may interact with us.
  • At a career fair or other professional, educational, scientific or technical event – With more than 13,000 employees, many who are active with professional groups, schools, civic, and community involvement, we appear at such events on behalf of our company and can make ourselves available to meet you and hear about your career aspirations. Check our News and Events page for details and if we are not scheduled for anything near you, you may be able to network with us online or through your professors – please look for us.
  • On our work site – If you are near one of our business locations, you may want to take advantage of that proximity by asking whether tours are available, whether we will be hosting an open house, or if you could talk with one of our recruiters to find out more about the kind of work we do. Some of our locations offer special tours for schools which may be very beneficial for students trying to develop a career path.

School Outreach

HBCU/MI – In 2008 we started an initiative to work with some HBCU/MIs to explore how best to engage with faculty and students. At the moment, we have 9 schools working on tasking and student opportunities (subject to change): Alabama A&M, Florida International, Jackson State, New Mexico State, North Carolina A&T, Prairie View A&M, Southern University, Tuskegee, University of Maryland – Eastern Shore, and University of Texas – El Paso.

Top Tier – Some schools support us with company-wide efforts: Embry Riddle, Georgia Institute of Technology, Purdue, Tennessee Technological U, Texas A&M, U of Alabama – Huntsville, U of Illinois – Champaign Urbana, and Virginia Tech.

Regional – Some schools work with several business units (there are about 30 of these schools)

Local – Many high schools, community colleges, and universities work with one business unit on community and other outreach efforts (e.g. STEM is a national initiative for growth in Science and Technical fields).
