Jacobs provides a variety of engineering, technical, operational, and information technology services to the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in support of its planning, direction, and execution of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). USSOCOM has made great strides since the September 11, 2001 attacks to rapidly and successfully expand from a command primarily focused on training and equipping Special Operations Forces to becoming our Nation’s lead command for planning and executing the GWOT. We have supported the USSOCOM in its responsibilities for training and equipping Special Forces to perform their mission anywhere in the world at any time, including developing, acquiring, fielding, and supporting special operations-peculiar equipment, material, supplies, and other support elements for more than 11 years. Today, we support USSOCOM systems by providing expertise in a wide range of mission-critical activities, including test and evaluation, acquisitions/logistics, information operations, intelligence support, mission analysis, advanced technology programs, readiness support, intelligence, special projects, financial management, engineering and operational support, and information technology.
