CMMI – Quality Assurance

Client − Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering personnel

Purpose − Provide detailed training on planning and execution of a CMMI® compliant Quality Assurance (QA) effort. Students will work sample problems to allow a clear grasp of essential QA constructs and functions. Discussion of QA activities that have shown traditional added value will be discussed. The importance of “pushing” QA audit results is stressed. The potential for QA participation in trend and causal analyses is discussed.

Client Preparation − Have understanding of basic software life cycle and concurrent engineering practices. Be exposed to tenets of the Capability Maturity Model Integration®. Experience in quality assurance and/or software development a plus.

Expected Outcomes − Student will be able to plan and execute a CMMI® compliant quality assurance effort at the project level to include the planning and conduct of QA reviews, process audits, and product audits.
