Jacobs’ process improvement is focused sharply on getting results. We do not advocate inappropriate short cuts, or the violation of any of the underpinnings of competent process improvement.  We do believe that you should get the real, proven results you need, as quickly as possible for the least practical investment. We provide expert consultation focused on getting results that are CMMI® compliant.  We recommend consideration of our LeanProcess™ improvement and our Lean development and acquisition approaches. Our long term investment in CMMI® capabilities include:

• Participation on the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) CMMI® Product Team
• Selection by the SEI as a Transition Partner for Appraisal Services and Introduction to CMMI training
• Participation on the Technical Committee for the National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) CMMI® Technology Conference and User Group as a founding member
• Participation on the Steering Committee for the NDIA Systems Engineering Division (national)
• Members of the company who are SCAMPI Lead Appraisers and (lean) Six Sigma Black Belts

We have worked with the SEI in these and other capacities over the years to develop and evolve the CMMI® model suite, improve appraisal methods, create Return on Investments (ROI) concepts and practices, pioneer business case analysis, create the LeanProcess™ approach, and develop or implement other practical mechanisms and approaches for adoption of CMMI® models.

We were selected to author a section of the first CMMI® text, CMMI Distilled: A Practical Introduction to Integrated Process Improvement (1999).  We were also selected as one of the few companies to advise the SEI as a member of the Technology Transfer Initiative panel (2001). You will find our papers and presentations in CMMI® conferences around the world.  

One of our employees also Co- Chairs the CMMI Technology Conference and User Group, a major CMMI conference held annually in Denver.
