Benefits of Lean® CMMI®

Whether through us or someone else, it’s important to get “outside” help with Lean CMMI process improvement efforts. Unless your organization has in-depth experience applying the CMMI model suite or applying the principles of Lean in real world situations, the likelihood of “going down the “wrong path” is very high. Interpretation and understanding of both the CMMI® model suite and Lean development principles is NOT intuitive. The impact of starting your improvement effort on the wrong foot can vary from simply being inefficient to the inadvertent development of an improvement anti-culture. Our estimates of return on investment for our consulting services, especially when applied early in your improvement effort, range from 10:1 to 800:1.
We are experts and highly focused on Lean process improvement, which offers the following benefits:

  • Sharp focus on the needs of your customers
  • Rapid improvements, on the order of weeks instead of months or years
  • High cost efficiency
  • Ownership of process by the “user” – which almost entirely eliminates the “push back” from employees who are often asked to use processes they didn’t invent
  • Lean processes – just enough to be consistently applied and under control
  • Opportunities for lean software, system, and acquisition processes – completely compliant with the CMMI®

Our consultants are highly knowledgeable and skilled in the implementation of Lean CMMI. We are careful about selecting people who have high integrity and excellent communication skills. We are also careful about setting realistic expectations with the client – and then ensuring we meet those expectations.
