CMMI – Appraisals and Sponsorship
Client − Senior management and leaders and others who may act as appraisal team members.
Purpose − Provide overview of Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPISM) and approaches for using appraisals to support the process improvement effort.
Client Preparation − Have understanding of basic software life cycle and concurrent engineering practices. Be exposed to tenets of the Capability Maturity Model Integration®.
Expected Outcomes − Student will have a basic understanding of the SCAMPISM appraisal method, when and how to employ appraisals to support the process improvement effort, the mechanisms for sponsoring an appraisal, and the activities that will occur during an appraisal.
