Special Consultancy Services and Engineering Studies
Jacobs provides consultancy services and engineering studies to develop design concepts often resulting in the turnkey delivery of integrated technical facilities and complexes, specialized hardware and mechanisms, fluid/process systems, and computer-based data acquisition and process control systems. These services include but are not limited to those listed below:
- Testing Effectiveness and Process Improvement
- Process Modeling and Simulation
- Computational Fluid Dynamics and Acoustics
- System/Facility Assessment
- Front-End Project Development
- Value Engineering
- Safety Assessment
- Software Development
Integration of Information Technology, Data, and Control Systems
Jacobs provides systems integration services for the design and installation of data acquisition and control systems associated with the delivery of new facilities and systems as well as the sustainment and/or modernization of existing facilities and systems.
Operation and Maintenance of Facilities and Systems
Our operations and maintenance activities range from Jacobs delivery of a comprehensive maintenance program to full-scale asset management services, including operations, maintenance, capital upgrades, and brokering of available test time to third parties that creates new revenue streams.
Metrology
Jacobs provides accredited/certified calibration and repair services focused in the areas of electrical, pressure, vibration/acceleration, force, torque measurement, hardness, chemical, time and frequency, acoustical, dimensional, temperature, and humidity. Our accreditations/certifications include ISO/IEC 17025:2005, ISO 9001:2000, ANSI/NCSL Z-540-1, and Ford Q1. We have pioneered measurement uncertainty concepts and have presented numerous short courses on measurement systems throughout the automotive and aerospace industries. In fact, we co-authored NASA’s 1994 Handbook of Metrology (Ref. Pub. 1342).
