Jacobs provides a breadth of technology services to the U.S. Army – one of our core customers – in the areas of test and evaluation engineering, operations and maintenance, and enterprise information services. We support U.S. Army systems that deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter by providing services such as lifecycle acquisition and development, testing, engineering, and operations and maintenance of munitions and land and air vehicles, related equipment, and facilities. Jacobs has been supporting the Department of Defense (DOD) for more than 60 years – beginning during World War II with the design and construction of airfields in the Western Pacific Ocean – and continuing to today as we provide mission-critical support to all branches of the DOD.

We support ATC in its mission to plan, conduct, and validate data and report on testing supporting research, development, test and evaluation, design, engineering, production, surveillance, and operational tests of military weapons systems and equipment for DOD, other Government agencies, contractors, foreign governments, academia, and private industry. Data Collection Services for the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC)As a major subcontractor, Jacobs supports the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center through the Data Collection Services contract. The Army’s ATC is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in MD – one of the most diverse and rigorous test ranges in the DOD. This contract provides a wide variety of data support to extensive testing of automotive, combat, electronic, equipment, and ordnance material. Jacobs manages a workforce of technical experts providing field, range, testing, and laboratory support services on our FRC&LSS contract at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC), Dugway Proving Ground, UT. As a major test site for the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, the WDTC is responsible for the test and evaluation of chemical and biological (CB) defense systems, incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, and related operational concepts. In addition to these responsibilities, we also support non-CB testing at the WDTC for the DOD and other federal agencies, including environmental assessment/impact evaluation and munitions demilitarization. – hide
Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) more more
On our ITSS contract, performed primarily at Redstone Arsenal near Huntsville, AL, Jacobs provides IT services for automation, telecommunications, visual information, and records management. ITSS is key in developing and sustaining the IT needed to transform the U.S. Army and provide critical data to the warfighter and those supporting and sustaining warfighter needs. Our technical capabilities include enterprise management, systems engineering, applications technology, visual information products, operations support, general technical support, emergency operations, and IT training for 11,000+ users and IT systems housed in 150+ facilities. Our infrastructure support includes a high-speed campus area network; wide area network connections to the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and several suppliers; more than 200 local area networks; and more than 70 network servers. In June 2008, our Lead CMMI Appraiser supported our AMCOM CIO/G6 customer in successfully attaining their CMMI Maturity Level 3 certification. In August 2008, we received a LEAN CMMI ML3 certification for our Jacobs ITSS development service. – hide

PEO CS&CSSJacobs personnel provide superior expertise in the areas of systems engineering, reliability engineering, survivability engineering, technology assessment, program acquisition management, Lean Six Sigma, full spectrum logistics (supportability planning, sustainment, and fielding), test and evaluation, environmental strategies and analysis, modeling and simulation, quality assurance, cost analysis, and training development at both Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM) and Selfridge Air National Guard Base in support of the PEO for Combat Support and Combat Service Support (CS&CSS). Our support includes assisting in formulating acquisition strategies, strategic communications, baseline analysis, budget and cost analysis, and lifecycle support analysis. In addition, Jacobs provides administrative and project management support for the Program Manager (PM) Force Projection and the PM Joint Combat Support Systems (PM JCSS). – hide

Jacobs provides a broad range of technical services for the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office (PEO) for Ground Combat Systems (GCS) and Program Manager Future Combat System (FCS). Our approximately 300 personnel support our customers in leading the transformation toward future systems by managing the development, acquisition, testing, system integration, product improvement, and fielding of ground combat systems at more than 25 sites worldwide. In addition to providing all contract support for the U.S. Army’s Mine Resistant Ambush Protection (MRAP) program office, we also support all systems and subsystems comprising the FCS, the U.S. Army’s fleets of combat and fire support vehicles (Abrams, Bradley, Stryker, Paladin, M-88, and others), and the Robotics Systems Joint Program Office (RS JPO). – hide
